About the trust

The OCF has five trustees, of which four are senior osteopaths. Our five trustees are;

Oliver Russell BSc(Hons) Ost (UK). Oliver qualified from the BSO in London over 20 years ago and is based in Hamilton. Oliver is a tutor on various postgraduate courses, including ones run by the SCTF. He has done a huge variety of postgraduate training, including paediatrics, sports, visceral and obstetrics.

Jill Headifen MSc Ost. (U.K.) PG Cert Child Health. Jill travelled to the UK to train to be an Osteopath in 1979 and practiced in London for over 20 years. This also included working part time at the Osteopathic Centre for Children in London. Now based on the North Shore, Jill utilises a broad range of osteopathic techniques including manipulation and soft tissue techniques, and specializes in cranial osteopathy. She has taught on many post-graduate osteopathy courses in the UK, Sweden, NZ and Australia and served on the board of the Australasian Cranial Teaching Foundation.

Gavin Crisp B Ost MSc (Paed) PgCert. Gavin graduated from the British School of Osteopathy. As a post-graduate he trained full-time at the Osteopathic Centre for Children in London where he gained a Master of Science Osteopathy in the Paediatric Field. He also joined the faculty at this extraordinary facility as a tutor and lecturer and received a Postgraduate Certificate in Teaching. Gavin is now based in Ngaio in Wellington.

Helen Parmentier D.O. (UK) Helen graduated from the European School of Osteopathy and operates from Clevedon, south of Auckland. Helen has been practising osteopathy for over 20 years with a specialist interest in cranial osteopathy, treatment of babies and children, muskulo skeletal and joint pain, headaches and general heath issues.

Rob Hart LLB Pg Dip Mgmt. Rob is a commercial lawyer and ex international cricketer based in Hamilton. He has governance experience in several charities and the commercial sector. Rob currently has directorships with General Finance Limited and Balloons Over Waikato Trust, the Waikato’s largest annual community event.
